Description With breathtaking views of the countryside, this traditional detached coach house conversion lies in the Tanat Valley on the Shropshire/Powys border. Set within the owner’s estate, amongst its own gardens and courtyard, it is the ideal holiday retreat in which to relax and unwind. Nearby attractions are Powis Castle, lakes Vyrnwy and Bala. The Ironbridge Gorge Museum, full of history, is a great day out for all the family. Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible from The Coach House, with its majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls. Walking, fishing, cycling, canoeing and white water rafting are all popular activities within this idyllic landscape. The Berwyn mountains are within easy reach, ideal for sailing and tennis, or leisurely pursuits on offer such as golf and fishing. This area is also a renowned mountain bike hot spot with a varied range of challenging routes for enthusiasts. Highly recommended days out Chester races or Bangor-on-Dee. Also view the countryside differently on nearby Welshpool’s steam train or travel lazily along the canal on the various barges. Interesting things for the children are ample and varied. There is a trampoline on site with a safety net and a large paddling pool provided on request. There are local swimming pools - those at Welshpool and Wrexham boasting wave machines and slides. Boreatton Park provides a great PGL experience and nearby Crazy Knights is a indoor climbing area which suits tiny tots up to mums and dads. Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium and the Royal Air Force Museum are also close by. For those seeking a more cultural experience, there are NT properties such as Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. All these have super walks and scenery for a memorable day out. Also worth visiting are the historical sites of Whittington Castle and Ellesmere. Nearby Oswestry has become a natural setting for a vibrant market town and has the longest street market in the borderlands; with specialty shops and eateries jostling with the market stalls it makes a wonderful trip out. Flowers and celebratory cakes can be organised by prior arrangement with the owners, and nearby restaurants recommended and booked. Supermarket delivery also available. Shops 4 miles, good traditional pubs nearby. Beamed living room with wood-burning stove. Well-equipped kitchen/dining room with quarry tiled floor.
