Take your pet on the ferry to England or on the routes to Ireland
The transport of pets (dog, cat or ferret) withthe ferry or Eurotunnel is important that you are aware of, the EU rules regarding pets. Also, we make reference to the following guidelines and conditions:
Which animals?
The transportation of dogs, cats and ferrets is bound by the terms of the EU pet passport.
EU pet passport
The EU pet passport replaces all passports used in Europe and similar documents used for the transport of animals abroad. The new EU pet passport consists of two parts. A standardized part, with information about the identity of the animal, vaccinations and other treatments. In the back is a section that the publisher may fill. The Procedure
Step 1. Microchip
The pet must have an electronic transponder (chip) that the animal can be gentificeerd. The chip must comply with ISO 11784 and Annex 1 of ISO 11785. There are several organizations where electronic identification can be recorded. A good recording has the advantage that a waif can be easily found. Step 3. Blood Test
